By exposing the shortcomings of science, Paul K. Feyerabend, questions the omnipotence of it and calls for the separation of society from science, just as at one time, with the help of science itself, society was separated from the church. Feyerabend calls for the establishment of freedom and pluralism in society, and his pluralism is inspired by John Stuart Mill. The present study seeks to show that the pluralism of Mill is fundamentally different from the idealistic pluralism of Feyerabend. The pluralism which Mill presents is a means of discovering the truth, but for Feyerabend it is an end. We also show that Feyerabend, who opposes any universal criterion including science and rejects it as a myth, creates a new universal criterion which is "Majority Vote" to talk about the value system of his ideal society. Hence he fights one myth to make another.

The imposed Iran- Iraq war, as one of the most significant events of contemporary Iranian history, affected different aspects of social as well as individual lives of Iranian people. Literature in general and poetry in particular witnessed a tremendous impact on Iranian thought at the time. With the start of the war, Iranian poets tried to make use of religious, historical and national myths in creating epical characters in their poetry which would help show the true Iranian identity. The use of myths in war poetry shows that Iranians have preserved their bonds with their historical and cultural identity and use these historical symbols and structures in redefining their identity. This research work attempts to identify the religious and national myths which helped to raise the morale of Iranian people and forged unity among them.    

This study aims to identify and compare the knowledge and interest of young people to the ancient and contemporary mythology as well as national and local figures of holy defense. The sample of the study is chosen by multi-stage cluster sampling among school children of District 2 of Tabriz. The sample size of 364 patients was determined according to Morgan table. In order to prevent loss of inventory, the number of 435 questionnaires were distributed among subjects and after removal of incomplete questionnaires, 365 questionnaires were examined. The method of collecting data is field and through a questionnaire the level of familiarity with mythology is measured and by a standard questionnaire (piety questionnaire) of Clock and Stark religiosity is measured. The results showed that, there is a significant difference between ancient and contemporary mythology with national and local holy defense figures. Also, there is a significant relationship between students’ religious affiliation and their familiarity with each of the mythology and holy defense figures.

The importance of sustainability development for developing countries and their tourism is a major issue. This study presents a new approach and framework for spatial modelling of tourism products potentials (TPP) in their sustainability evaluation. The approach was developed based on the GIS multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) and its performance was evaluated for spatial TPP mapping in Tabriz city, Iran. To achieve this purpose, we recognized the main Components of Tourism Development indicators (CTDI) such as attractions, accommodation, services and infrastructures facilities to improving sustainable tourism, and determined their significance using the Geographic information systems (GIS). Furthermore, the uncertainty analyze was applied to diminish the inherent error in criteria weights. A GIS-based aggregation function was applied to discern the TPP map. Finally, the emphasis in this paper investigates the practical usage of GIS for the benefit of sustainable tourism development. In particular, it inquired the possible opportunities and challenges facing the adoption of GIS to assist sustainable tourism development. The purpose of this article is to map and explore existing and potential attractions, tourism services and facilities in Tabriz and to ensure that potential opportunities are available for all tourists to enjoy enjoyable experiences in order to reveal their diverse economic, social, political and cultural benefits. Build on the positive and negative aspects of their construction and present them with appropriate solutions for tourism development that lead to sustainable tourism development and infrastructure improvement.

In modern times, the Neo-Kantian philosophy of Ernst Cassirer is the most significant attempt to construct a philosophy of myth as an integral part of the philosophy of religion. His most elaborated definition of myth can be found in the second volume of his Philosophy of Symbolic Forms. According to this book, myth is a symbolic form that maintains unity of the word and being, the signifier and the signified, it yet still retains itself in the developing structure and, by the use of symbols and signs, it shapes the foundation of religion. Myth and religion, therefore, represent the fundamental tendency toward symbolic formation. In other words, they constitute the basis of a metaphor that lies at the heart of all forms of symbolic function.This essay surveys the nature of myth, the characteristics of mythic–religious though and the role of time and place in the development of the mythology. It also deals with the relation between language and myth and tries to give an account of the interrelationship between myth and religion.

Folktale is a story passed down within generations of a particular ethnicity. That comprises the traditions of the culture or group. Folktales are rooted in ancient believes and rites, as well as myths.Iranian folktales, including fairytales, fairytale romances and stories of ayyaran, are full of mythical elements.The present article tries to show the mythical elements of Iranian folktales.

This article will study the concept of mythical wells in Persian literature. It will review manifestation of mythical wells in poetry and its origins in traditional stories.The paper consists of two parts: 1) investigation of famous mythical wells; and 2) the roots of the concept of wells in traditional stories. The purpose of the article is to show symbolic, allusional and mythical aspects of wells, as a natural phenomenon, in Persian literature. Studying the roots of meaning in Persian literature shows similarities and differences of perspectives among the Iranian poets and writers about a natural phenomenon.
